Program Information
USA Triathlon (USAT) has selected Lake Whatcom Triathlon of Bellingham WA, as the host for the 2020 USA Triathlon Washington State Championships for High School and Age Group Athletes.
HIGH SCHOOL
The top 3 female and top 3 male finishers in the high school division, from Washington State, competing in the 2020 Lake Whatcom Sprint-Distance Triathlon will receive Washington State Championship awards. In addition, the top 5 will receive USAT High School Program gear.
AGE GROUP
The top 3 female and top 3 male finishers, from Washington State, competing in the 2020 Lake Whatcom Olympic-Distance Triathlon will receive Washington State Championship awards.
In addition, all athletes competing in the Olympic distance event will have a chance to qualify for the 2020 and 2021 USAT Age Group National Championship(AGNC). Those finishing in the top 25% (or top 5) of their age group will qualify to compete on the national stage with a chance to represent the USA at the World Championships. The 2020 AGNC event will take place on August 8-9th in Milwaukee, WI.

State Championships Events
The 2015-2016 academic year was the inaugural year of the high school program and official announcement can be found here. We continue to grow through the high school clubs, state championships, and national championships. Please email highschool@usatriathlon.org for more information and guidelines for participation in the high school program.
Register for High School State Champs
Registration runs right up until race day, or until the race sells out. Capped at 300 entrants, this race is expected to sell out, so sign up early to secure your spot and take advantage of reduced entry fees.
