Swim Course (1500 meters / 1640 yards / 0.9 miles):

The counter-clockwise swim starts 200 feet north of the boat docks at Bloedel Donovan Park. Keep the buoys on your left side as you swim northeast to the turn buoy (750m). After making a left turn around the buoy, swim parallel to the shore and exit at the sandy beach. Then it's a 300-meter dash from the Swim Exit to transition.

Bike Course (40 kilometers / 24.9 miles):

Turn right out of Bloedel Donovan Park onto Electric Ave. Then follow a scenic route that takes you along the north side of Lake Whatcom to the turnaround at the end of North Shore Road, located half a mile from the North Lake Whatcom Trailhead. On the return, make a right onto Y Road and start climbing. This fun but challenging counter-clockwise loop takes you along Y Road, Squalicum Lake Road, Jensen Road, and Agate Bay Lane. Then make a hard right back onto North Shore Road and follow this back to Electric Ave. and the transition area at Bloedel Donovan Park.
